Paul Wagner has been a DCFF staff member off and on for many years. Paul has been dancing, teaching and enjoying folk dance for fifty years. He currently is one of the leaders of the Eau Claire International Folk Dancers, and has been a member and leader of the Eau Claire international performance group and the Bistra Voda band.

Paul has taught folk dance workshops around the Midwestern USA and in New Zealand. Though he teaches dances from all over the world, Paul especially enjoys the rhythms, music and dance forms of the Balkans. Paul is a professor emeritus of computer science at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, and also plays Celtic music (on keyboards at a monthly Irish session and on the air for the Celtic Renaissance radio show on WHYS community radio.)

Paul is also a longtime birder, traveling around Wisconsin and the USA to enjoy observing and learning more about birds. He has been on birding trips in Costa Rica, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, Kenya and New Zealand.
