Katherine "Keti" Kartchev is a junior at Wheeling high school in Illinois. She began dancing around the age of seven under Irina Gotcheva at John Atanasoff Bulgarian Language School. Since 2018 she has been part of the Horo Bulgarian Folklore Ensemble of Chicago and has performed at many festivals and celebrations throughout the United States: Florida, Michigan, Missouri, Wisconsin etc.

Keti has taught traditional Bulgarian hora since the age of eleven and currently leads a kids dance group at Royal Academy of Dance in Elk Grove. She showcases her culture in school by leading an afterschool club in which she teaches hora and educates classmates about Bulgaria and takes part in school wide events, "Display of Cultures", by representing her birth country.
