Mimi Goldberg started folk dancing in the Boston area and has been teaching Balkan dances since the early 1980s, in Princeton NJ, the Washington DC area, and Madison WI. She was co-founder and Artistic Director of the Zemya Ethnic Dance Theatre in Washington, which performed at the Washington Folk Festival and at the Kennedy Center. In Madison, she formerly directed and choreographed for the Narodno International Dancers, and currently is a regular teacher and board member for Madison Folkdance Unlimited.
