CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS |
The Door County Folk Festival (DCFF) and Ethnic Dance Chicago are certified by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) to issue Continuing Education Credits. Other states may have reciprocal agreements with ISBE to accept Illinois Credits, see www.dcff.net/tce/ for details.
To receive credit, participants must attend Thursday morning's 9:00 am class. It is strongly recommended that participants attend the two Friday and two Saturday classes. DCFF will provide up to 9 Continuing Professional Development Units (CPDUs) for attending classes as per the Teacher Continuing Education Schedule.
DCFF provides a full schedule of workshops for the general public. Participants in the Teacher Continuing Education Program may receive up to 12 CPDUs for attendance at these workshops as per the DCFF Workshop schedule.
To register for this program, go to the DCFF REGISTRATION PAGE. |
COSTS |
Participants in the Teacher Continuing Education Program must register for the Extended Weekend Pass for the DCFF at a cost of $184.00. Participants may arrange for their own lodging or may do so through DCFF (price varies). Participants may also wish to purchase DCFF dance syllabi, music, or group dinner tickets (price varies).
To obtain Continuing Education Credits, there will be an additional fee of $60.00. Auditors may register for the Continuing Education Program for a reduced fee. However, the limit for this Program is 24 participants, and those registering for credit will receive priority.
We strongly recommend that registrants obtain an assessment and analysis of their communication style. The Forté Interpersonal Communications System profile will help participants understand their communication strengths, how well they are adapting to those strengths at work, and how they are most likely coming across to others. This profile will cost an additional $35.00. Participants will receive immediate results from this Web-based survey and should bring their profiles to class.
