Arne Van Art is originally from the town of Ashland in Northern Wisconsin. From there he traveled South to get to warmer weather and ended up in the La Crosse area teaching bio-medical electronics at Western Technical College for 25 years. That was after many years of schooling at the University of Wisconsin, two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Bogota, Colombia, and a stint in the medical industry in Chicago. For the past few years he has been dancing, teaching, and performing with local dance groups in Winona, La Crosse, and Viroqua.
