Back

Diana Davis, wife of the famous George Davis, has been folk dancing since the age of 8 when she briefly studied Indian Classical dancing while living in Poona (now Pune), India. On returning to Chicago, she was exposed to less restrained folk dances at an afterschool program and has been an international folk dancing addict ever since. She met George dancing at the Univ. of Chicago in 1969. She has attended scores of workshops, camps, and festivals. She has performed with many groups, sewed many costumes, and has been told she used to teach a lot but has somehow repressed those memories. For more on her adventures in dancing see the bio for George Davis.
